Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve protects a nationally significant remnant of the once vast Tallgrass Prairie and its cultural resources. Less than 4% of the 400,000 acres of Tallgrass prairie remains today. An area of the preserve includes an 1881 historic ranch house, a limestone barn and outbuildings, and a one-room schoolhouse.
A bison herd was introduced to the preserve in 2009.
Cost: $40 per person*
Tour time: 9:00am-12:00pm
Check in at hotel 15 minutes before tour.
The first stop will be beautiful downtown Emporia. The downtown area was voted "Best Main Street in America" by USA Today and has many restaurants and unique shops.
The second stop for shopping is Bluestem Farm & Ranch.

Kurt Aumann grew up in the auction industry and graduated from auction school in 1982 at which time he became employed by Aumann Auction Inc. In 1995, he became Vice President and CEO of Aumann Auctions Inc., located in Nokomis, Illinois.

Banquet Reservations:
Franklin HeckKC Golf Cart Compnay will handle all the golf cart rentals. They will collect the rental fees at their web site. The rental fee is $100/day.
